April was a month of purposeful actions and heartfelt contributions as the DNOW Lights team came together to impact our communities positively. From raising funds for Multiple Sclerosis to mentoring children, our volunteers left no stone unturned in their quest to bring light to the lives of those who most need it. Walk MS: Joining the Community to Create a World Free of MS
To kick off the month of April, DNOW Lights formed a team for Walk MS at the University of Houston. This event brought together a passionate community dedicated to raising funds and changing the world for everyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Our team walked 5k together to help create a world free of MS!
Our team was proud to be a part of this event and to help raise awareness and funds for this cause. Every step counts in this journey toward a cure for MS, and we are honored to be able to contribute to this cause.
Spring Branch Boys and Girls Club: Supporting the Young Minds of Our Community
The DNOW Organizational Development Team came together to show up for the young minds of our community while supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston at the Spring Branch Boys and Girls Club on April 12, 2023. Our team spent the day engaging the children in different activities to support their social development and education.
We strongly believe in the importance of investing in the future of the young minds of our community, and we were grateful for the opportunity to inspire and motivate these young minds to reach their full potential.
Inspiration Ranch: Preparing for the Upcoming Spring Season
DNOW Lights volunteers joined hands with Inspiration Ranch in Magnolia, Texas, on April 16, 2023, to prepare the ranch for the upcoming spring season. The group consisted of DNOW Lights volunteers, family, and horse friends!
The Inspiration Ranch is a therapeutic horseback riding center for children and adults to overcome their physical, emotional and social disabilities with therapeutic riding and equine-assisted therapy and activites. We were grateful to be able to contribute in any way possible and to support this wonderful organization.
Mentoring Children at the Spring Branch Boys and Girls Club
On April 19, 2023, individuals involved with this year’s Leadership Program cohort spent an afternoon mentoring and engaging in activities with children at the Spring Branch Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston. Our team was thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with these children and to inspire them to become leaders in their community.
Investing in the future of our community is essential, and we were grateful for the opportunity to mentor and support these young minds.
March for Babies Walk: Raising Funds and Awareness for Moms and Babies
DNOW Lights partnered with March of Dimes at the University of Houston on March 23, 2023, for the annual March for Babies Walk, raising funds and awareness to transform the health outcomes for moms and babies. Our team was proud to be a part of this event and to help raise awareness and funds for this cause.
We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and we are honored to be able to contribute to this cause.
